High Mountain and Vineyards
Whenever you think about Mendoza, immediately two things come to your mind: that slinky Malbec flowing freely and the magnificence of the Andes mountain range. Immerse yourself into the deepness of the world’s longest continental mountain range and be amazed by its mindblowing landscape. Get to the feet of the “Coloso de América” (Aconcagua Mt.), which will slowly woo you and make you never want to leave.
The trip continues towards several other small mountain towns, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas, Penitentes, until you reach Puente del Inca, a natural bridge where Las Cuevas river has drilled into the mountains forming this incredible natural attraction. Thermal water emerges from different areas and several pools are being used by the climbers as a free spa!
Close to the border, a wonderful viewpoint allows us to see the Aconcagua Mt in all its splendor, which stands at 6,962 meters ( 22,841 feet) above sea level . We´ll enter the stunning Horcones Lagoon and to the Provincial Park for a small walk and pictures. The mountains in the Andes are the highest in the world outside of the Himalayas.
On the way back we will discover the little and charming town of Uspallata, before driving along Mendoza River on the way back to Mendoza city.
